A Learning Guide

We are excited to have you in our ICB program and hope your learning experience will be both enjoyable and rewarding. To help you get started, we have compiled this guide with some tips and resources to help you navigate your courses and exams.

Signing up for courses and exams: Review the course catalog and schedule to identify the courses you are interested in. Register for the courses as soon as possible to ensure you get a spot in the class. Similarly, check the exam schedule and plan accordingly to give yourself enough time to study.

Finding course materials: We will post course materials, such as syllabi, assignments, and readings, on the university’s learning management system StudIP. Check this regularly and keep track of any announcements or updates.

Preparing for class: Before each class, review the assigned readings and prepare any questions or comments you may have. Participating in class discussions is a great way to learn and engage with the course material.

Learning effectively: Actively listen to the lecturers and take notes in class. Ask questions and participate in discussions to deepen your understanding of the course material. Be respectful and courteous to your classmates and their opinions, even if you disagree. Stay focused on the topic and avoid distracting behavior, such as texting or talking to others.

Completing assignments and preparing for exams: Stay on top of your coursework and give yourself enough time to complete assignments and study for exams. Seek help from your professors or tutors if you need it.
